The short version

Scripture, your notes and your highlights stay on your device and are never sent to us. There is no account and no sign-in. The app does show advertising, supplied by Google AdMob, and AdMob collects data as described below. We ourselves operate no server and receive none of your data.

What we collect

We collect nothing ourselves. We operate no server and receive no personal information about you. We do not sell or share your data, because we never hold it. Specifically, we do not collect:

• Names, email addresses, phone numbers or any contact information
• Location data
• Device identifiers, advertising IDs or IP addresses
• Analytics, usage statistics, crash reports or telemetry
• Your reading history, notes, highlights or bookmarks

What stays on your device

The app stores the following only on your device, in the app's private storage:

• The Bible text you are reading
• Your highlights, notes and bookmarks
• Your reading position and the days you opened the app
• Your settings: canon, translation, text size, theme and reading preferences

None of this leaves your phone. We cannot see it. Uninstalling the app removes this data with it, so export your notes first if you want to keep them.

Exporting your data

Settings → Export notes and highlights copies everything you have written to your clipboard as plain JSON. Your writing belongs to you.

Permissions

The app requests internet access and the advertising identifier, both required to serve ads. It does not ask for storage, precise location, camera, microphone or contacts access.

Children

The app is not directed at children and is not intended for use by children under 13. It is a general-audience Scripture reader. If you believe a child has used the app and you have concerns about advertising data, contact us at the address below.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app is supported by advertising delivered by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect and process:

• An advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID)
• Approximate location derived from IP address
• Device and app information — model, OS version, app version
• Product and ad interaction data — app launches, taps, impressions, clicks and views
• Diagnostic information — SDK and app performance data such as launch time, hangs and energy use

This is collected by Google, not by us; we receive only aggregate revenue figures and never see data about an individual person. Google's handling is governed by the Google Privacy & Terms and AdMob's own policies.

Your choices

• In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, the app shows a Google-certified consent message before ads are requested. Where Google requires it, Settings → Ad privacy choices lets you reopen and change that choice at any time.
• On Android, Settings → Privacy → Ads lets you reset or delete your advertising ID, which opts you out of personalised advertising system-wide.

There are no analytics, attribution or crash-reporting SDKs in this app. AdMob is the only third party involved.

Scripture text

Bible translations are public domain or openly licensed, obtained from eBible.org: the World English Bible, the Douay-Rheims (1899) and Brenton's translation of the Septuagint. Versification tables come from the United Bible Societies. These are bundled with the app; reading them involves no network request.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, CCPA and similar laws you have rights to access, correct, delete and port your personal data. We hold none of your data, so there is nothing for us to disclose or delete; for data collected by Google AdMob, exercise those rights through Google or by resetting your advertising ID. The reading data on your device is under your control at all times: edit it in the app, export it, or remove it by uninstalling.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version is published here and the date above changes. If a future version of the app ever collects anything, we will say so plainly and ask before enabling it.
